PROVERB PRACTICALS

Proverbs 5:4,5,  But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

By trusting the word of God a man knows where the end lies to those who refuse to walk in the way of the Lord.

The strange woman has refused the light so as to walk in darkness.

And those who are in the light can see by the word of God where darkness leads.

Her end or her future is bitter and poisonous as wormwood.

As predicable is the future of those who trust God so too is the future predicable for those who do not.

The Bible says that the wages of sin is death, and that "Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap."

What does faith in God’s word mean?

It means that God gives those who believe his word, eyes that see the future, eyes that see where actions lead.

There is no excuse for the believer to not know where sin leads.

The results of sin are always predictable and are known by those who have faith.

This father has faith in God’s word and therefore with full authority tells his son about the future of the strange woman.

Faith gives a father an authoritative attitude.

Faith in God’s word gives a father a foundation upon which to declare with confidence where sin leads.

A father does not have to be timid, he does not have to be tentative in his instruction of where sin leads for he believes God’s word about sin.

My hope is built on the word of God.

Therefore whatever the word of God says I can say with all confidence that what I am telling my children will come about.

I do not have to wonder if I am doing right or be timid in my instruction about these matters.
